They say fashion comes and goes, but the style is forever, and that's why when it comes to style icons, Amal Clooney has been my inspiration for years. It's not just her clothes and appearance that makes her an inspiration but the many titles she holds - Philanthropist, professor, barrister, wife and mom. This all-around success and personality is the reason I chose to recreate 5 of her looks and I wore them to work with utmost confidence.
Monday - Grey plaid + Black top + Coat + Heels
On Monday, I copied a look that is super easy to recreate. Grey plaids, and blacktop with heels. I didn't need a very thick winter coat but I wanted to show you guys how the look came together
Tuesday - Skirt + Tee + Heels
San fran weather was being more cooperative and let me ditch the pants for a lace skirt. I was unable to recreate her look but took inspiration and teamed my black skirt with a yellow & green striped bodysuit and black heels. I carried a yellow bag like she did to complete the look.
Wednesday - Dress+ Blazer + Heels
Another day of 65-degree weather meant another dress. I love how most of her looks are sophisticated and yet so simple like this all-white look. I wore a plain white dress with a white blazer and teamed it with heels. I opted to carry my blush pink structured work bag. However, if you have a tan bag that would complete the look I would recommend using it.
Thursday - Button-up skirt + Tee + Heels
This is again a more inspired look. I had to creative with this look because I don't own that style of a skirt however I have a button-up dress and decided to team it with a black fitting tee and heels. You can essentially use the same black piece from Mondays look even. I carried my quilted coat with colors as she had an all green coat.
Friday - Pants + Full sleeve top
On Fri-yays some times I get to work from home. So, I chose a more laid back look of Amal's as inspiration. I wore the tracks from my coordinated set and teamed it with a soft grey and white full sleeves top. I always wear my glasses when I work from home and it really helps that Amal's wore hers too.
It was so fun for me to find OOTD inspiration from a celebrity. Do you want me to try any other celebrities styles?
