If you know me, you know I am a morning person. I am always up at a reasonable hour and I love spending my morning sipping coffee, scrolling through Instagram, reading, meditating, cooking catching up the family or working out. But, no matter how early I wake up I end up rushing.
To help myself, I cracked a morning routine to get ready in 15 minutes without stress. Here is the trick - focus only on one or max two things while getting dressed - outfit, makeup, accessories or hair.
Let's be honest my hair goes nuts in the summer ( hello humidity) so I know better than to bother with it. Instead of spending hours on it, I put it up in a bun ( my classic hairstyle) and focus on putting together an outfit with the right accessories.
Then there are days when I have no inspiration to put an outfit together so I just default to jeans, a basic tee and my black kitten heels and then focus on my make-up and hair to pull the look together.
Lately, my skin is looking dull ( and breaking out) so I want to give it a chance to breathe so I spend a little extra time selecting an outfit and accessories.
Beyond saving precious time every morning and not feeling rushed, this has also helped me experiment, accept and achieve many looks I am comfortable with. Do you have a trick to get ready in the mornings?
