A Case for Pink

 A Case for Pink

For the last two years, I seem to find myself drawn to all things blush. Whether it’s rose gold accessories, pops of pink on my Instagram feed, or pastel flower arrangements, I am totally in love. I know it is a cliche that I am a petite girly girl who loves pink. However, I see it as the color of universal love, and this monochrome blush outfit is my ode to breaking cliched stereotypes.

I’ve never thought of pink as a weak “girl” color, but I knew this outfit would get a few giggles, the ‘oh so cute’, or ‘Oh, you look adorable’ comments. And I did get them all (giggles as I walked by most). Initially, I was shy and apprehensive, but pretty soon this #ootd made me feel so confident and chic. I had a really productive day, checking off my entire to-do list, or rocking it as street style on my afternoon walk.

Remember, the most impactful way to wear blush pink is in a monochromatic look. Given its muted and neutral tone, it is a great choice for a matchy-matchy look.

So if you love any shade of pink, do not hesitate to wear it anywhere at any time of the year — be powerful, be bold and don't forget to blush in pink!
