For over 2 months, I have been looking for a perfect tinted moisturizer because I don’t know how to blend my foundation well. A few weeks ago, I stopped by Sephora with my sister who helped me try the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer (in almond) and it was life changing. Light, even and totally transformed my skin. It even felt like the $40+ price tag it came with was fully justified but I kept thinking, “I should try to blend my moisturizer and foundation to create a budget blogger’s tinted moisturizer.”
Recently, while applying my makeup, I made something of a happy accident:I blended my foundation (currently using Color Bar in Ivory) with my liquid sunscreen. The application was as simple as rubbing sunscreen on my face. I followed up with Tarte concealer in medium (I swear by this) and I noticed that my skin looked noticeably brighter and dewier all day.
To try it yourself, mix a blob of foundation into liquid sunscreen, rub the mixture into palms to evenly spread it across your fingers, then pat it onto your face. Follow up with concealer for a dewy look.
Every time I do this, I have received compliments on my skin. It is easy, quick and protects your skin from the sun.
